USB 3.0 Male to USB Micro-B Male
Strike Three
Originally released in 2008, USB 3.0 is the second major upgrade to the Universal Serial Bus standard since its initial implementation. The most notable change between 2.0 and 3.0 are the new potential transfer speeds. The new USB features a transfer mode also known as “SuperSpeed,” capable of transferring data up to 5Gbit/s, more than ten times faster than its predecessor. For the most part, USB 3.0 is backward compatible with 2.0 devices, however, the user will only experience 2.0 speeds and many of the specialty connectors have changed. The male A connector is the same, but both B and Micro-B are different.
Micro for Mobile
FireFold’s MICRO-USB3-3 features one standard USB 3.0 male A end and one micro-B male end. The new micro-B connection can be found on many USB 3.0 external hard drives and will soon be featured as the charge and sync port for new mobile devices such as phones and tablets. The simultaneous two-way communication offered by the 3.0 standard will not only allow faster data transfers, but it will make charging your devices quicker as well.
This 3’ cable meets all of the USB 3.0 standards including lightning fast transfer rates, full duplex communication, and PC and Mac compatibility. The 28 AWG wires are foil shielded to prevent interference and the molded strain-relief boots protect the delicate conductors inside, making the MICRO-USB3-3 sturdy and reliable. With FireFold’s signature lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects, you can count on USB 3.0 phasing out of use long before you have to worry about your cable failing.
