Bumblelion and Eleroo, Moosel and Rhinokey, and Butterbear and Hoppopotamus. What’s so great about these guys and gals? They are freaking awesome combinations of animals whose different parts make them better. The TL-SM3C-HD is the Wuzzle of AV.

The TL-SM3C-HD is a hybrid system: three input switcher, extender with remote power, and control system. The switcher is configured for automatic switching with manual override out of the box, but also has a manual-only function. The built-in extender passes power from the receiver to the transmitter up to 70 meters over shielded solid core Cat 5e or greater cable. The control system can control the display via CEC, IR, or RS232, and includes two relays that can be configured as momentary or latching based on the installation needs.

Table inserts (sold separately) are available for HDMI, VGA and DisplayPort source devices, providing connectivity for sources such as laptops and tablets, as well as display on/off and source selection control that is simple enough for any user to understand with virtually no training. While maintaining 100% compatibility with the original Share-Me™ Series table grommet inserts, the TL-SM3C-HD has a dedicated, non-propietary 4-pin port to interface with the new TL-SMG-4C, which adds volume control to the display on and off features of its siblings.

The TechLogix Share-Me™ Series is designed for an extremely quick installation. Simply mount the switcher under the podium or conference room table, mount the table inserts in pre-cut holes sized from 56mm through 70mm, and connect the table inserts to the switcher using standard AV cables (HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA) and a 3.5mm cable. Run a single shielded solid core Cat 5e or greater cable to the receiver. Connect the HDMI cable and necessary control interfaces from the receiver to the display. All power and control commands are sent from the table inserts to the switcher via the 3.5mm cable. Plug in the receiver and the system is up and running.

The latest iteration of TechLogix Share-Me™ Series presentation switchers expand upon the original TL-SM3X1-series switchers. The basic premise is still true: an affordable solution that integrates AV switching and device control. Unlike the Trons of the world, we have actually added features based on customer feedback, and, as we have always done, all accessories are included; a power supply should never be a separate line item.
