Inspired Wires
Although it sounds spooky, Ghost Wire by Sewell probably won’t land you a new reality show or a made-for-TV movie. The benefits will outlast your 15 minutes of fame, though. For many people, the idea of running traditional speaker wire through walls or molding is chilling. It can be a huge, complex job fraught with uncertainties and questionable aesthetics. How do you get through studs? What size wire molding do you need? What happens if you change your mind and rearrange your room?
That’s the Spirit
The only thing scary about Ghost Wire is how flat and invisible it can be. With a strong adhesive on one side, this speaker wire can be run along walls, floors, and under carpets. The wire itself is only .5mm thick so it can be easily camouflaged with paint or wallpaper on visible surfaces. Want a truly hidden seam? A thin layer of spackle along the edges makes the wire truly undetectable. You don’t even have to sacrifice quality for convenience. Ghost Wire is made from 100% pure solid copper so you can expect the same clear, clean audio as you would from any of FireFold’s ordinary speaker wire.
This SW-29982 Ghost Wire Terminal Block is used to connect your flat wire to regular round speaker wire for terminations. Attaching the terminal block to the speaker wire is a breeze and requires only two ordinary household tools: a pair of scissors and a screwdriver. Simply peel the backing and adhesive sides off of the Ghost Wire until about an inch of bare copper is exposed. Cut off the excess paper then fold the copper in half twice. Insert the flat wire into one side of the terminal block and tighten the screws. Strip and insert 14, 16, or 18 AWG round speaker wire into the other side of the block and tighten those screws as well. Then, just hook up your speakers or receiver as you ordinarily would.
